Ragamuffins Get Ben's Old Clothes to Wear While Apprenticing

A rather circumspect me, Journeyman Woody, agreed to outfit the ragamuffins in Ben's old printing aprons and eye glasses.

Ben Franklin Week Starts Off on a Great Note!

The ragamuffins from the streets of Philadelphia sought refugee in Franklin's lodgings, hoping to recreate his rags to riches life by learning a few tricks of the trade from the master inventor.  I, Master Woody, his journeyman jack of all trades, made them try out the most difficult, and elegant, of all of Ben's inventions: the Glass Armonica!

 Mistress Maya and Master Holden worked at measuring the right levels of water in their glasses.

 Maya and Holden achieved a fine tone, not unlike the singing of angels, or so Debbie Franklin said!

 Master Isaiah and Journeywoman Olivia work out the scale for his complicated song.

 Journeywoman Olivia spent extra time helping Master Isaiah perfect his finger action.  Master Isaiah ended up writing a long and elegant composition worthy of the instrument.

Hannah Presents Her Case Against Paethon

Hannah had a tie in her votes: 3 for and 3 against.  Hecate broke the tie and set Paethon free!  This reporter, I slave Stephanus, believes the humans sided against the gods.  Not me.  Save me Thrice-Gentle Zeus!

Isaiahtiades Presents His Case Against Hades

He won conviction and the punishment: Hades had to spend a year as a slave and lost his powers over the underworld for that time.

Myth Court

Gusacrese led off the court with his denuciation of Hera and her harsh treatment of Echo.  He convinced the citizens of her guilt, and he also won the punishment phase, having the citizens vote with him to punish her with a year without speaking.

Proper Wine Preparation

Slave Stephanus shows the citizens how Athenians cut the straight wine (grape juice) with water, unlike the barbarians.  The citizens tasted the strong version and agreed that the wine needed to be cut with water.
