Thoreavians Look Closely at Nature

Wednesday a couple campers stayed home sick, so after the wildflower walk the rest of the Thoreauvians took it easy by drawing and looking closely at some of the little insects we have collected.

Gus and Hannah examined the wing of a small bee-like insect, as well as the shell of a cicada, and a small sawfly.

We also looked at bought slides of dragonfly wing, leg, and abdomen, a locust wing, leg and antenna, a honeybee's wing, leg, and antenna, and a butterfly's wing, leg, and antenna.
