Hackensack River Excursion in the Meadowlands


Hughie was our captain for the trip with Hackensack Riverkeeper.











We saw different kinds of bridges.  This one has a big weight of concrete to help lift the bridge.


 We saw Great and Snowy Egrets.



 Different kinds of grasses, the only kinds that can live in salt water.


Cormorants can dive for fish and swim as well as fish.
