Water Week Begins with the Water Cycle

We began water week with drawings of the water cycle.  We asked all the campers if they knew what the water cycle was and they all said yes.  Here is Rowen's beautiful drawing.



Then Lisa talked about the real water cycle, and drew this.


We added hardscape, such as streets and parking lots and roofs.  We added industry and factories that pump water out of the ground, lowering the water table, and dams that retain sediment, killing rivers down stream.  Much of our fresh water is being used up faster than it can be replaced, thus we are actually running out of drinking water.

Then the campers drew their new water cycles.  Here are the before and afters.
